I’m missing the we
We used to be.

Memories of you wash ashore
Before me as I stroll
This long, lonely
Shore of my now life.

I miss the we
We could have been.

I couldn’t raise a dowry
In your moment of bloom
And helplessly watched
Them marry you off.

Now, I can afford a thousand wives,
But they won’t mean as much to me.

I miss the we
We should have been.

I absolutely LOVE your work and how beautifully you represent Ghana, the diaspora, and the beauty of the human spirit!!
Great photos. Love the guitar pic and the sand sculpting photo! Nice work!
